Be present to the moment

Today was another quiet day at home for us. Ella and Karen went off to the nutcracker ballet (how fancy!) and Cole was at his grandparents house for a sleep over. I spent a good part of the day with Tobin continuing to build the lego Death Star he got from Santa for Christmas. It was a simple day and the joy came from just focusing on building the death star. When you’re washing the dishes, you’re washing the dishes. It reminded me of another time while riding in the car I noticed Tobin was looking out the window apparently thinking. I asked him what he was thinking and he, as usual, said “what?”. Asking again, he replied he wasn’t thinking anything, he was just looking out the window looking at the houses. He continually teaches me to just be present to the moment.
